My Son is one of the UNESCO site of Vietnam. It is located 1 hour drive from Hoi An and 69 km southwest of Da Nang. It was the religious and political capital of the Champa Kingdom which existed in central Vietnam between the 2nd and 17th centuries.

The ruins of Hindu temples are scattered in a lush valley of 2 km. But these are not simple temples, they are the remains of the Champa kingdom, a lost civilization. Most temples have been destroyed by wars and time. There remain only the ruins of a few buildings among the seventy that included the site.

The best time to visit My Son Sanctuary is from February to September, but the weather is really nice from February to April and June.

The maximum temperature at My Son Sanctuary averages 29°C over the year (from 23°C in January to 33°C in June).
