The best time to visit Meo Vac
You can come here anytime because this land is always beautiful and Meo Vac is no exception.
Between March and June, the mountainsides are covered with the green of corn. The sky is higher and the weather is very good. From October and November, the weather is good and it is also the rice harvest. The rice fields are magnificent. This is called “the golden season or golden season”. But, if you want to see the vast fields of buckwheat flowers on the roads, you will have to come here from November to December.
What to see, what to do…
What makes the heart of the city is its very colorful and lively market. This takes place every Sunday of the year. The Meo Vac market is above all a place of meeting and trade. The H’mongs and Dao put on their best outfits for the occasion. You will be dazzled by this festive-looking market.
The biggest interest of this city is the road which leads there via the spectacular pass of Mai Pi Leng and its 22 km of laces. The road, called “the road to happiness”, cut into the cliffside offers a magnificent view of the limestone peaks.
