Lam Dong Province
Capital of the province of Lam Dong, in the south of the central highlands of Vietnam, Da Lat was discovered by the famous doctor Yersin at the end of the 19th century.
Located in the heart of the Central Highlands, the city is perched at an altitude of 1500 m. Once very popular with the French elite during the colonial era, Da Lat has retained an incredible charm and tranquility that is so characteristic of it, as evidenced by the many vestiges of this colonial heritage.
Nicknamed the “City of Eternal Spring” for its different temperate climates, Da Lat is built around a lake and a golf course, and is bordered by hills, pine forests, lakes and waterfalls. .
The best time to visit Dalat
The best time to come to Dalat is from January to April and December, but the weather is really pleasant from January to March.
Thanks to an altitude of 1500 m, Da Lat enjoys a temperate climate with an average annual temperature of 18ºC: average temperatures fluctuate from 19°C in April to 27°C in February. The maximum temperature in Dalat is on average 26°C. Therefore, Da Lat experiences four seasons in one day: spring in the morning; summer at noon with a sunny climate; the typical mild cool climate of autumn in the afternoon and finally the cold of winter at night.
