Cao Bang
Cao Bang Province
Cao Bang is a city in the northern highlands of Vietnam, capital of Cao Bang province. It is located on the bank of the Bang River, about 30 km from the border with China’s Guangxi region and 286 km northeast of Hanoi.
Cao Bang is a remote mountainous region of wild beauty characterized by rugged relief, rugged landscapes made up of an inextricable maze of peaks and karst hills.
A surreal natural setting signing some of the most beautiful prints in the country where several ethnic minorities live. It was in this grandiose limestone labyrinth that the Expeditionary Corps suffered one of its heaviest defeats during the Indochina War (bloody battle of RC4).
The best time to visit Cao Bang
Most of the Cao Bang area is covered in forests, so the air is quite clean in rural areas, residential areas, and in the city center. Compared to other localities in Vietnam, Cao Bang is one of the coolest and least polluted provinces.
In general, Cao Bang has a mild and pleasant climate. With a humid subtropical climate, it is therefore directly affected by cold spells from the north. Spring is generally warm, autumn is cool and pleasant. It is hot and humid in summer. In late spring and early summer when the weather is neither too cold nor too hot, you can come to Cao Bang to enjoy fresh fruits such as apricot and plum.
Cao Bang’s temperature has never dropped below 0°C. Summer here is characterized by hot and humid weather, the average high temperature is 30°C to 32°C and the average low is 23°C to 25°C.
