Thu Dau Mot is a city in southern Vietnam, capital of Binh Duong province. Although it is an administratively separate city, it is considered a satellite city of the Ho Chi Minh City metropolitan area which lies 23 km to the south. Its population growth has been rapid in recent years.
The city is best known for its sanded lacquer factories and its magnificent Buddhist temple having a huge reclining Buddha. Similarly, the large complex of Dai Nam Wonderland will satisfy both temple lovers and children with its water park and zoo.
