Phan Thiet is the southernmost coastal city on the Central Coast, in the South Central region. Located 200 km (4 hours drive) north of Ho Chi Minh City, it is a port city and is the capital of Binh Thuan province.

At its center is a small fishing port that hosts a multitude of colorful boats, bustling open-air markets and seafood restaurants.

The city is also home to various monuments, including the Vạn Thủy Tú temple built in 1762 in honor of whales, it contains skeletons of these marine creatures revered in the region.

Phan Thiet, which is located in an arid region, has a typical tropical climate, with lots of wind and lots of sunshine. You can therefore visit Phan Thiet all year round, but the weather is really ideal in January, February, November and December. However, according to the locals, the best time to visit the region is between December and April, during the dry season.

Average temperatures range from 30°C in January to 34°C in May. The maximum temperature being on average 32°C.

The sea temperature is very pleasant all year round! It varies from 25°C to 29°C. For swimming, the best time for a suitable water temperature is from April to November.
