Ben Tre

Our good plans in Ben Tre

In Ben Tre, the greenery of the myriads of coconut trees and water palms covers the entire region. These lush orchards, which cover nearly 41,000 hectares, produce some 375,000 tons of coconuts each year. The coconut palms offer exceptional and irresistible culinary possibilities that are the pride of the local culture. Coconut palms grow there in jungles, creating a languorous landscape, strikingly exotic.

What to eat

The Ben Tre coconut palm well deserves its name “tree with a hundred uses”. If its roots have medicinal properties, its trunk is used to make frames, its leaves are used to make mats, bags, hats, and its bud is eaten fresh or cooked. BenTre is famous not only for its green fruit gardens, rows of coconut trees, but also for its truly original and special local cuisine based on coconut, of course.
